My Practice intersects Communication Design, Social Design, Design Methodolgy and Co-Creation

I specialize in communication design, social design, and co-creation strategies, combining research, teaching, and hands-on design processes. I facilitate workshops and collaborative practices, visual and spatial concepts and I enjoy discourse and inspiring exchange. I strife to empower individuals and groups to engage via design as a tool for context specific and cooperative form-giving. 

Design for me means being able to imagine, express and implement an idea, perspective or vision of how sth. could be that is not already existent. This is exiting.  

With a background in arts and design from the Bauhaus University, Weimar and HFBK Hamburg, I view design as a powerful set of media for engaging within political and social realm. My approach focuses on questioning and reimagining spaces—both physical and mediated—to foster dialogues that challenge inequity and amplify underrepresented voices. I strive to build networks that promote shared power, and broader visibility for perspectives that shape cultural and public discourses. Hoping to be a proactive design-ally and more-than-bystander support for the initiatives I work with and enable constructive evolution of dialogues. 

My work has benefited from and developed within collective practices with LU'UM and criticalform, as well as other partners I had the luck to encounter. Amongst my inspirations are partnerships with international organizations such as MIT D-Lab (USA), Twende-Arusha (Tanzania), and Laboratoria para la Ciudad (Mexico). I have also contributed as an educator at HafenCity University Hamburg (Design+Landscape) and the Studiengruppe Informationsdesign (SI) in Burg Giebichenstein, Halle (Saale). Currently I work independently in Berlin.
